Found a breakfast that reminds me of home. Waitress was very nice. With Love from northern WI.
What a hidden gem! Whether your just passing through or visiting family at the Extended Stay Resort near by this place is a must! The food is a true representation of rural cooking and the service is a prime example of "salt of the earth" hospitality! The decor is a well thought out dedication to antiquity and rustic times past. The warm and familiar aroma vibing through the atmosphere will leave you reminissing of childhood adventures. Be sure to stop by the gift shop on your way out to pick your self up a well deserved treat from the many thought provoking selections. What a unique and wonderful experience. Thank you Sterling Colorado!
Had the opportunity to eat here, what a great place. Steaks were cook perfect, and delicious. Many choices to choose from on the menu. And don't get startered on the prices, ok fine, 21 bucks for a surf and turf 12oz ribeye and butterfly shrimp, potato, veggies and a house salad. GET OUTTA HERE. Great prices.
Original -- The little café people overlook…. I have visited Sterling Colorado three times, and I have eaten here twice. I love this place. Unfortunately, because it is located inside the Ramada inn, people don’t notice this place as they’re driving by. If you’re ever in Sterling, find the Overland Trail Cafe on your GPS. I highly recommend it.
Revision -- The above part of the review was based on one lunchtime meal at the restaurant. I have since eaten there two more times and discovered that, in my case, the dinner meal did not meet the same standards as the lunch meal. For lunch it was my father and me, and we were both very pleased. For dinner I was with a party of 6, and only one of us was completely satisfied.
Perhaps it was the type of meal (sandwiches and burgers vs. 4 course dinners) or perhaps it was the difference in cooks. Either way, I no longer can give the Overland Trail Cafe a full 5 stars.
Love this place! Great food, service and the move has given them more tables.
