The owner and his wife were extremely nice. I got some recommendations from friends to try their farm to truck food. The chef talked to me about his farms and his dishes with so much passion. You know his food would be bomb!
I tried his coriander/cilantro chicken with a edible flower(not know the spelling of it) and the oyster mushroom w chimichurri sauce and I was blown away. Delicious and interesting flavor bc of the way he marinated his meat. I will try to make the oyster mushroom at home bc it was so good!
He also gave a cheesecake with peach sauce to a few customer to try.
Overall, great experience. Nice portion, $14 dollars worth it. Unlike most of the restaurants in this area, boring and expensive.
MUST try! He uses produce grown in his garden and sources whatever ingredients he can locally. The food is layered with complex flavors and it’s fresh and delicious. I haven’t had anything I didn’t love but I particularly relish the Oyster mushroom dish prepared as a salad. Fresh rolls are a must for a starter. Also a big win to be right next to Best Slope Coffee for your drinks!
Dude knows how to make a solid burrito. The chimichurri beef burrito is fresh, cooked to temp, and far bigger than I can handle in a meal. I shared with my toddler, snacked on it driving home to Utah, then had it with a poached egg for breakfast. To the dude running the operation- the poached egg may be a worthy breakfast twist on the burrito.
Highly recommend this spot.
Heard Dango Burrito was worth trying from a local so we decided to try it. Food was huge portions and reasonably priced. We got the Chimichurri Burrito and the Short Ribs (daily special). Both were really good. Coleman was very kind and gave great service.
This place is amazing! Had the chimichurri burrito today on our way back from riding the Kokopelli Trail. Can't imagine a better end to that trip. So good. Looking forward to next time we're in Fruita, we are 100% stopping by here again (and Bestslope Coffee too). Keep up the awesome work with the farm and food, Coleman!
