The Milky Way Palisade

If you come to this restaurant for anything but coffee and ice cream you will be sorely disappointed. The food (with the exception of the omelette which I do not recommend) is prepackaged and nuked and served haphazardly with plastic forks and plates and (what I thought was) paper towel for a napkin. I didn't have the gelato, but it is clearly the raison d'etre of this place, cuz it sure isn't the cuisine. The coffee was excellent tho and judging from all the families with kids that poured in--at 10am!--the gelato must be wonderful. I'll be back for that, but never again for breakfast.

We came this afternoon my three kids and I (2, 4, and 7) came in to get ice cream! The gentleman working was friendly and happy to be there. He went out of his way to serve us and make sure we had a good experience! We will be back soon!

Love this place! The staff is kind and welcoming, coffee and tea is incredible, snacks and sandwiches are great, and the gelato is SCRUMPTIOUS! There’s also a fun array of items to shop. Do yourself a favor and give The Milky Way a visit. 🤩

Fantastic little retro coffee spot. Delicious gelato and best coffee in town. Can’t wait for patio weather to sit out back in the garden with my coffee and a good book. I had a breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread and it hit the spot.

There is something fun everywhere you look in this place! They have an eclectic mix of curios for sale, some of which are in a vending machine- fun!
Creative menu. The bite-size pancakes were something different (and good), you can choose from a variety of toppings.
The cappuccino was spot on and they have a lovely patio out back.
