Ted Nelson's Steakhouse

We ate at Ted's for the first time tonight- why have we waited?? Service was excellent. Restaurant is super clean. Oh- the food! I had prime rib- it was done perfectly! Some of the best I have ever had! And the salad and dressing and sauces on the side were on point! Ted himself was there and thanked us for coming. Great atmosphere/ food / and drinks- thank you!!

We got the prime rib... it was delicious! Mr Nelson came to check on us and make sure we were enjoying the food. This special touch is something that is not always the norm, and let us know this is a place that truly cares about quality of food, service and dining experience for the customers. Will definitely return soon!

Went there on July 26 2019 with 2 friends , I had a chicken fried steak and another had salmon and the third had a steak. All of us enjoy the food but the steak was the highlight. Without doubt the best tasting steak I have ever tasted, a couple of weeks before I was in Las Vegas and had a steak at Gordon Ramsey steak house in Paris hotel and this one blew that one away.

This is clearly a local treasure. The night we were there, they were packed, but unfailingly pleasant and gracious as they scrambled to meet all needs. Our waitress, Amanda, was delightful. Ted himself came by to say "how are things" and was very charming. The food is straight up steak house food and very good. Stuffed mushroom caps were delicious, my sirloin very good and the ribs were good too.

Ted’s steakhouse is one special restaurant! From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with warm welcomes. The server, Amanda, was friendly and helpful. The stuffed salmon and the lamb chops were incredible. The dinner was a good value as it comes with your choice as a side, great veggies and soup or salad. We have never had such great service keeping the water glasses filled. Ted stopped by for a nice chat. It’s obvious he cares for his employees. At least six of them thanked us for coming as we left. If you are ever in Montrose, stop in to Ted’s Steak House for a treat.
