Woody Creek Tavern

Woody Creek Tavern was great! Our server, Bryce (spelling) was super sweet. The covered patio was nice. I got the trout, which was very good. It was pretty expensive for not much food but the portions were perfect for me. My husband got the bison burger and was very happy with it. This was a nice place to finish up out vacation at. It’s pricy (in my opinion) but totally worth it.

This place was a complete surprise on the inside, we stumbled upon this amazing spot along the Rio grande trail by accident.

I mean honestly it was the most cheese I’ve ever seen on an adult grilled cheese! 🤣 but in all seriousness this is a must stop and see while in Aspen. It was a fun experience, and perfect shelter for the afternoon rain storm. Don’t be lame and miss out!!

Cool, famous place! Rustic. Chicken enchiladas were to die for! Beer was cold too. Friendly and helpful staff. The photos on the walls were great..

Very cool spot nuzzled in the mountains. Beautiful views to and from its location. My boyfriend was named after Hunter S. Thompson, so with the Tavern's history, we were enamoured to begin with. As a Georgia girl, I can personally attest to their tasty shrimp and grits. Their soup was very tasty as well, but I may have asked to have the pour over broth given to me to pour instead of the server as it ended up being quite brothy and a bit difficult to eat the large pieces of chicken. Their desserts looked very good coming out other guests, but after all our first two courses we had enough.

One of my favorite places in the Aspen area! My boyfriend and I came in 3 times when skiing in Aspen last month. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The nachos and the chicken wings (with green goddess sauce) were stand outs. Service was always very attentive and friendly. Make sure to stop in!
