Bar Lazy L Ranch

I booked this trip for my in-laws and my family as a treat. We were picked up on time at the Gondola which was very convenient and took about a 20 minute ride to the location. When we arrived, a sleigh was there with 2 beautiful horses. I was a little disappointed because we were packed into a sleigh with around 25 people. Not as quaint as I wanted but disappointed that our view was behind houses and barns. We arrived to a barn. Really neat, but bathrooms were on the lower level and the dinner was upstairs. If you are handicap or you have difficulty climbing stairs, this is not the right place. The dinner was ok. Steaks were good, but the chicken was not desirable at all. The atmosphere with the service was wonderful. Enjoyed the live music. After we finished, we were loaded back on a bus.
Now my last experience doing a sleigh ride was about 17 years ago on our honeymoon, and it was absolutely the most beautiful ride we ever did. We rode to the place via sleigh (in the dark), ate an awesome dinner on a low table and pillows spread around an enormous teepee, and then climbed back on the sleigh again under warm heavy blankets. It was romantic and beautiful so expectations were high. That place is no longer in business. I truly wish this place was in business because it was beautiful, romantic, and wonderfully done. BarLazy was very family oriented. The staff was great, but wish the experience was better with the sleigh ride and dinner.

Great group. Fun for all generations of our family. Shuttle ride from town was convenient and informative. Sleigh ride along the river was impressive, especially at twilight. Food, cabin setting and entertainment were great. The entire family team were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend this "western experience"

Shuttled from base of Steamboat to a short but fun sleigh ride. Food super! BYOB, review their menu for possible mixers. Solo guitarist played while we were there. Very friendly staff. Family business/working ranch. Shuttle was huge. Fits 26 bodies in the big one.

Incredible hospitality! The Bar Lazy folks were friendly, warm, and fun! A wonderful sleigh ride pulled by 2 magnificent, and very large horses along the Elk river to a festive and warm barn for an delicious meal. Thanks for a wonderful experience Bar Lazy L Ranch!

Fantastic experience - sleigh ride is amazing, hospitality is first rate and food/music experience is excellent - this is a can't miss.
