One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Food was incredible, drinks were amazing (I would recommend the Seattle Fog), and staff was not only very knowledgeable but also very friendly; you can tell how much work everyone puts into their craft. An absolute must if you ever find yourself in Steamboat Springs or its surrounding areas.

Ridiculously good - we did the 6 course tasting that included bread service. Bread was absolutely amazing - 4 different kinds and included their own infused oil and truffle butter. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. And the restaurant itself was beautiful. Enjoyed all the courses - my husband and I have done several chefs tastings and this was one of our favorite experiences.

I don't usually write reviews for restaurants because honestly you usually don't see anyone doing anything special. Go to an Italian restaurant well you get Italian food, sushi restaurant well sushi you get my drift. Well Sauvage cant be put in a box, its not a restaurant meal , its more of a culinary journey and experience. Everything has a story if you are interested, new flavors were discovered and the presentation was like looking at a series of beautiful paintings. Come with an open mind, don't expect a hamburger and french fries of a large steak that is not what this experience is about.

I own a twice winner "World boutique hotel awards", 6 star resort and restaurant in the South Pacific and was recently skiing in Steamboat with my family and friends. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Sauvage restaurant on Yampa street. The atmosphere was excellent, the food plating was out of this world and the taste was spot on. The 6 course tasting menu was amazingly delivered by our waitress and her team. The cadence of the plates was perfect not too fast and not too slow. Its French inspired cuisine so the portions are on the smaller side but honestly we left more than satiated. This is by far the best restaurant in the whole valley. If you can get a reservation, give it a try it wont disappoint. Areas to improve: Honestly , not many but personally I am not a big fan of the food descriptions before each plate, if the waiter does not know when to interrupt, it breaks the tables conversation tempo. That being said it has been the hardest thing to train my staff to do that well and our Sauvage waitress did it perfectly.

I've lived all around the world + the dining experience at Sauvage is extraordinary. Exquisitely creative food + drink in a refined ambiance, served by a staff who reflect the passion that has been poured into this restaurant. If you are lucky enough to go when the owner is there, you will be humbled by her gracious demeanor. Although this is fine dining on par with the international scene, Victoria keeps it relaxed + playful. Warning - this experience is addicting. My husband won't book any where else ;).
