Haywood Cafe

Nice, local restaurant conveniently located along the main strip of the Keystone Resort area outside of the River Village plaza.

Kitschy decor with several screens to see the local news or games of the day. Staff is friendly and make you feel welcome.

Quite a few menu items featuring local flair, including green chili and elk sausage. It appeared most if the menu items leaned towards the spicy side, which is limiting for those with sensitive stomachs or who prefer milder tastes (hence only 4 stars instead of 5 from me).

Otherwise, business operates at a relaxed pace and is a nice break from the busy and often over-crowded, main, resort areas.

Very polite staff and good service. Our waitress was very sweet and did a great job. 5 stars!

I've been visiting Haywood for several years. When they first opened, it was focused as a sports bar. I watched many games that were not in my cable availability, and we always had a good time. The food has been excellent, and I can't remember a bad experience. My daughter loves the Chad Burger. I usually order breakfast. The variety of eggs benedict is outstanding.

The owner is a very nice guy. I am a local that works within walking distance, so this has become my favorite "diner". Nothing fancy, but I recommend it highly.

Definitely a must when in Keystone. Breakfast is consistently delicious. Waitstaff is as friendly as can be. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. On that topic, the portions are quite large so plan to roll your self out of the building or ask for a box (or split a meal). We came two mornings in a row and said we would come back every time we are in town.
