We went to Pellegrini last night after reading about it on a Colorado website. We happened to go when the special of the evening was 1/2 price family style meals, which serve 3-4 people. We were pretty early, so we were seated right away. I didn't like the location we were initially taken to, and the server politely took us to another table. We ordered a beer and a Sangria (another round later), along with a Calamari appetizer while we looked at the menu. We had previously eaten at another "popular" Greeley Italian place and, while we liked it, I always found the menu somewhat limited in other entree and appetizer options. Not so at Pellegrini. We ordered a deep fried Calamari appetizer which came with a lemon-olive oil dipping sauce. The server brought out a small side of Marinara for the wife. The Calamari was obviously hot from the fryer and very tasty. We also had two Spinach Salads, which were very good.
Such an amazing experience and great food as always! Our waiter Chase was spectacular as well!
Excellent service and food. Also great happy hour deals! I recommend the gnocchi and the limoncello cake. The pizzas are also delicious and easily sharable with an entree.
The customer service is excellent. The restaurant was comfortable, clean, & tastefully decorated and lit. I would love to hear Italian music to complete the overall experience.
The food is good but could use some improvements in starter salads- this is one of the first impressions on customers. The salad I received was so-so fresh. Just dressing out of a bottle. Would love to see more fresh oils & vegetables.
Breads are okay. Room for improvement.
Pasta sauces done very well. love the creamy pesto, spaghetti, and Alfredo sauces, very good!
To sum it up- EXCELLENT entree's but starters and sides aren't that great.
Visit during their bottomless bowl hours! Our regular visit was way too expensive (two meals with a small soup and salad and we had to pay $50, small student discount included), but bottomless bowl is very much worth the money. Their pasta is deli-i-icious! And their soups are irresistible! Will keep coming back and telling more people about it!
