Delicious food, made from fresh ingredients every day! Love the feel of south western warmth both inside and out on the patio. Smart servers and friendly staff make this our favorite local eatery. Oh, and don't forget they have the best Margaritas in Colorado - if not the world.
We have been going here most weekends for 5 years. Only a couple times we have been disappointed. Pretty good record if you ask me. Great service and margaritas. If you get a burrito have them bake it.
NOT Tex-Mex
Margaritas are better than the food. The Rio Grande is a river that runs through Texas, so we had high hopes for this restaurant. Nope. Food was bland, and I was charged an extra $2.50 for rice with a burrito meal. Everyone at the table thought the rice was terrible. Our server was nice, but she neglected to mention the upcharges.
Overpriced. Won't be returning. As displaced Texans, we're still searching for truly good Mexican food in Greeley. This place isn't it.
Great, consistent food. Nicely updated menu - loved the new street tacos (small, but delicious!). The restaurant and particularly the bar area, can get loud, so if you're looking for a somewhat quieter conversation, the patio or the back room are good options. Oh, and the Margaritas are STELLAR!
The Rio Grande is real grand. Sorry, that joke had to be done. But seriously, the outer decor of the restaurant is covered in lights and attracts your eye immediately. The inner decor makes you feel like you're being transported to another world. It definitely didn't feel like Colorado. Our party of ten was going to take about 20 minutes to be seated, so we headed over to the bar to wait. There's a lot of tequila.
