Rio Bravo Mexican Restaurant

The place was busy, but service never faltered. Food was good and the atmosphere was fitting. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and witty. Will definitely go there again before heading home to PA.

The food was very good, the service was fair. I was seated promptly but it was a while before my waitress came to the table. Not really busy tonight. I ordered the Camarones 1800. It was VERY good. The chips were warm and fresh and the salsa was good. I had water to drink and had to ask multiple times for more water, when my waitress was able to be found. My table was near the hostess stand and I could see into the kitchen. The hostess would disappear into the kitchen for long stretches and newly arrived diners would stand at the hostess stand, looking around until she came back out. I had flan for dessert, it was very tasty and nicely presented on the plate. When the check arrived, my waitress put it on the table, thanked me, and walked away. I have eaten at many Mexican Restaurants where you pay up front. When my waitress did not return, I went to the hostess station to pay. There was a family arriving, so I told the hostess to seat them first and then she could assist me. She seated the family, stood at the table and talked with them for 3 or 4 minutes, then disappeared into the kitchen AGAIN, for at least 5 or 6 minutes. When she finally came back, I gave her my check and she gave me a funny look while telling me I should have given it to me server. To her credit, she took it to my server, who processed the credit card and returned it to me. The food here is very good, the people are friendly, when they are around, but the service is poor.

Did was great. Service was a little slow. We had to wait nearly until the for arrived for the server to come back after she dropped the drinks, and there was a problem with my wife's drink. Chips and salsa were great. Table side guacamole was very good. My enchiladas were very cheesy and saucy and yummy. Atmosphere is lively and kid friendly. Parking lot is a bit tight with one way entrance and exit, so be wary. Overall a nice dinner or with the kids.
