Isla & Co

Great spot to get brunch with a couple friends! We all really enjoyed our drinks and meal. Great scrambles and eggs Benedict, and the iced matcha latte was perfect for a warm afternoon.

I tried Isla on the second day they were open. I absolutely loved it. They were able to recreate the Australian experience really well. From the design of the restaurant to the atmosphere, it really did bring me back to Sydney. The Brussels sprouts and sausage rolls were delicious entrees; for mains, the chicken, and the short ribs, were delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try their brunch menu and coffee!

What a beautiful addition to downtown Fairfield! This Australian style brasserie is so unique. I believe it’s the only one of its kind in CT, unless there’s others I’m unaware of! We visited for dinner and enjoyed appetizers of the fresh burrata and crispy halloumi, tender braised short rib and roasted chicken for dinner, and corn and Brussels sprouts for side. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! I really liked the influence from South East Asia as well. The drinks were refreshing, and thought the dessert options were perhaps a bit limited, the Aussie vanilla slice with blackberries and a puff pastry was a great choice. The staff was very attentive, and the outdoor patio area was beautiful. They’ve put up some bushes that give you a more private dining experience despite being close to the sidewalk. Isla & Co is also offering brunch which I would love to come back and try!
