We've been here many times.EVERY TIME is a time to remember! Here is a review from August 12, 2016.
We rolled into the parking lot and the Valet greeted us very cheerily. We whisked ourselves out of the 98° humidity into the vestibule and I darted to the bar while Joe approached the maître d'. We settled in the cool bar and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with the 17 year veteran, Astley, who has become our friend. He is the most jovial, upbeat, sophisticated bartender we know.
We decided on a bottle of the house champagne to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. He quickly uncovered it was our anniversary and the conversation flowed from there to topics like celebrities and City Island and Jamaica and living in the Bronx.
After a bubbly bottle of champagne we moved along to our dinner. After fussing a bit with where to be seated we were pleasantly happy about being seated in the porch area -- in fact the same table as last time.
Of course our appetizers were perfectly cooked and presented. The sun was setting so we peered out the window every so often for the sunset view of the eastern sky.
Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable though I don't recall him ever telling us his name.
Our entrées were presented perfectly and delicious and fresh.
There was no room for dessert and after we asked for the check we were pleasantly surprised by our waiter bringing us a dessert plate with a candle and happy anniversary greeting. We chatted about life together and how fortunate it was that we randomly met the night we met.

Food, service and ambiance perfect!

This is our absolute favorite restaurant. The service is exceptional and the quality of the food is so high. We love the old world charm and care they take with each guest. It is a very special place. We agreed grateful to have the chance to dine here.

Always the best prepared, plated, presented and delicious treats! I have gone here for 15 years and absolutely love it... the staff is delightful and the grounds are beautifully designed. The tables are intimate and surrounded by elegance. You will have your expectations exceeded each time.
