We were visiting from out of the area and found this place on the internet. We wanted something that was local to the area. Ripka's fit the requirement. Glad we found it! The food was great! The warm lobster rolls, grilled oysters, tilapia tacos, and clam chowder were all fantastic. Highly recommend the grilled oysters. We were here during the off season so there was no wait. Had kids and babies in our party and the environment was suitable for children. When we are back in the area, this place will definitely be on our "must do/visit" list.
Best beach cafe around, open some days in the winter as well. If you’re lucky there will be a fire pit going, weather can make it impossible sometimes. Watching the full moon rise is quite a sight. Seafood always seems fresh and the staff/owner have been a pleasure to deal with. We are sad it took us years in Norwalk to discover this place fully. They also have great concerts in the summer, taking the experience to another level. Warm lobster roll is one of the best I’ve ever had.
I like the cafe. I like the food. The smell. The owner's personality. The view and the walk along the sea is unbeatable.
This is clearly one of my favorite places in Norwalk to have breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food is great, along with the service. There is no other place in Norwalk with a view of the Long Island Sound! While everyone waits at a local diner just to get seated on a weekend, come here and have a home cooked meal at a reasonable price and again enjoy the quiet ambiance of the beach/sound.
I've only had the lobster rolls there but the food is excellent. No skimping here. It looks like a fun place in season as well with happy hours on Friday nights. Just went when the weather was in the 40s they have an outdoor fire pit and after your meal take a stroll around a beautiful Park. Can't be beat
