Oh my gosh! Wow! Everything about this restaurant was amazing! We were served by Tyler and he was so attentive! Our food was absolutely delicious! If I would change one thing it would be NOTHING! The bathroom is so clean and decorated so cute. It is family friendly. I love love love Sono Boil! I will definitely be returning! Thank you for the amazing dinner and service!
We decided to come try out Sono boil for my daughter birthday party. When we first walked in their was a robot host which brought us to our seat. My daughter love the robot. I ordered the 1lb of the headless shrimp with the Sono special sauce and it was delicious. The crab fries and Kobe sliders were perfect for the kids. At the end of the meal the robot brought us over ice-cream and even sang a cute birthday song for us. If you have a big party of people I highly recommend checking this place out.
I’ve visited family friends at Connecticut and we decided to try some seafood boil here, newly opened up the experience was spectacular! Very clean environment with amazing interior inside, the staff was very attentive and kind. Love the bar as well as we got some Margaritas as well as some other alcoholic drinks which all was all very good and great presentation. The seafood boil was the best I have ever had, flavorful and tasty not bland at all with a quick of spice. Overall I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area! Prices are great too, also that robot that takes you to the bathroom was super cute.
SONO Boil opened up recently. We decided to try it out as a group of 3 people. We walked in and there was a few groups inside (around 6 different groups).
Our waiter himself was actually great, he was attentive, personable and he was definitely trying to make a great experience. The food was pretty solid overall.
However, the overall experience wasn't great. It took the bar staff 40 minutes to get our first drink, it actually came out AFTER our appetizer and only when we asked for it. It was not a complicated order, 2 cans on Lawson's Sip Of Sunshine and 1 margarita.
Our friend visiting from out of state ordered a second Margarita, he reminded the waiter who was very polite and reminded the bartender, after 30 minutes it didn't come..so we had to cancel it as we could see they didn't even start making it.
What was upsetting is that we sat right next to the bar, had a clear view of where the tickets were being printed and could see that there were times where the bartender was just standing around talking (at the time there was 3 people at the bar who all got their drinks fast). We also had to ask for water 2 or 3 times before getting it.
I get opening a new restaurant and getting up to speed takes time but with a staff of what looked to be 6+ people I was surprised to see the bartenders socializing and taking 30+ minutes to get drinks out, staff standing around for 10 minutes not really doing much, and one guy (our waiter) who was running around doing a lot - we felt bad for our waiter, he was actually good, but it felt like his team didn't really back him. I'd be hesitant on returning especially if it was a full house (when we went it was around 5:45pm or so, not busy at all.)
For a new restaurant that just opened up during a pandemic I must take my hat off to them! Everybody including my business is short of staff... and this problem is nationwide. Yet, they have received a great welcome by having so many customers come in, that almost from day one, they have been operating at full capacity!
I say keep up the good work! Love the food. Love the staff!
