Was there for a private party with a pre-set menu but everything was delicious. More impressive though was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The event salve was also beautiful, with a wood burning fire burning through the entirety of our evebt. The entire restaurant is charming and when we're back in the area we will surely stop in.
This place has no competition in my part of Redding (it's the ONLY restaurant) but they definitely have good food and an ample enough selection, so when friends come to visit and I don't feel like cooking this is the place we go to.
Clean, prompt service, friendly staff. Good selection of foods even for those "picky" eaters and pretty good wines for those who imbibe (I'm not an expert, but people I've been with who know more have been satisfied).
Sometimes can be a bit of a zoo with unruly children running amok - I wish local parents would leash/gag their brats if they're unable to behave themselves, but typically it doesn't last for long. Also, you can get a seat in the bar area so as to avoid the little gremlins.
BIG parking lot, holds a lot of people. I usually always get in without reservations (2 - 4 people) but if you have a larger party you should call first.
Thanks Spinning Wheel for re-opening and providing a good community service in our desolate town.
Our family attended the show "A Christmas Miracle" which was a dinner performance, and both the dinner and the performance were excellent. It's an intimate setting with only 6 or 7 tables and a small stage in the center. The performers sang, danced, played instruments and even did some magic tricks and were simply incredibly talented. Dinner was a choice of fish, chicken, prime rib with appetizer and dessert and all were fabulous. Oh and the drink selections must come from an expert mixologist...you'll want to try them all (and then Uber home)!
If you're looking for some fun with friends or family and want to save a trip down to Broadway then consider the Spinning Wheel.
The best hidden little gem of a restaurant in the beautiful rolling hills of Redding Connecticut. They have become a tradition of my family's Thanksgiving dinner. The food is excellent, the entire staff are warm and attentive, and the owners are so very gracious as they invite you to dine and share a memorable experience with them. I will keep on returning every year.
Had my wedding here. Everything was beautiful and great food! Owners are super Nice! Can't wait to go there on our 1 year anniversary
