Olio

Great food. Good atmosphere. Probably the only place in Stamford that felt close to NYC in vibe/atmosphere. Since most of the city seems to be aiming at that, it hit it well

I've been living in Stamford for 3 years now and sorry not sorry, but there are very few restaurants I would consider great in this area. I mean the type of restaurant where you're constantly craving their food, the type of restaurant you actually follow on FB because you love to see what new things are on the menu, the vibrant colors, and creativity in the food, where the food actually excites you. That is the type of restaurant Olio is. This is even before being the chopped winner, that is just an added bonus. The owner and chefs at Olio really create something special and love what they do, it shows in every plate they cook. If you are looking for something that will truly satisfy your taste buds, with fresh ingredients, this is your place. Cannot recommend Olio enough.

My wife had my 50th here with 14 guests and I had hers here with 10 guests a couple of months later. Both nights were fantastic. Waitstaff was totally helpful and accommodating, food was fantastic and both experiences were great.
We had a table in the back room for the first dinner which was perfect. Everyone loved both food and service. Second time we sat up front and had the same results. Everything was great and we had an awesome time(s).

Great service, great food and warm layout! Had the steak and egg and my wife has the lobster scramble, both were fantastic. All the drinks, cappuccino and mamosa were on point. Great laid back music playing in the background to make the experience nice! Love coming back here.

My second meal at Olio, and both were delightful. Flavorful foods, generous portions, and good service. Creative menu. Just be prepared for a loud setting. Worth it!
