Patisserie Salzburg is an amazing location. There is something for everyone! Gourmet meals, Fresh Salads, wide selection of Vegan/ Vegetarian options and the most delicious and artistic desserts you have seen.
As a Culinary person who specializes in French Confectionary I have visited most popular bakeries in Fairfield County and frankly none would score higher than a 3 star rating...that is until I visited Patisserie Saltzburg! I bought 6 pieces of the mini pastries and each one had its own individual, flavorful identity, making this establishment markedly different from all its tasteless competitors. Where all bakery cookies taste identical to one another, except for the various toppings they add! What a delight to be here at Patisserie Salzberg where from the raspberry tiny cake, to the pistachio offering, through the sweet chocolate filled eclair, the little, light, airy sugar cookie with apricot filling, and ending with my personal favorite an almond bar kissed with dark Belgian chocolate! All were heavenly. The only improvement I would make would be with the French Macarons, they did not meet my expectation in flavor, although their appearance with the representative "foot" and the hard outer shell with soft interior was noted. My steaming hot tea was served in it's own tea for one contemporary tea pot. The atmosphere is pleasing and restful with beautiful pastel colors in immaculate surroundings. I cant wait to return!
Amazing Strawberry Shortcake! Great ambiance, relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. Very good addition to the restaurants of Harbor Point. Definitely worthy of a repeat visit.
ENJOY THE SOUPS, BREAD, AND DESSERTS. I GO ONCE A WEEK FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. ATTRACTIVE AND PEACEFUL PLACE TO RELAX & ENJOY SOME TIME.
Staff friendly and welcoming. Lots of choices, but I guess I chose the wrong ones. The curried chicken empanadas was dryish, the mushroom and goat cheese quesadilla was actually mushroom and rubbery mozzarella, and the apple strudel was unlike any I ever had. No flaky crust, no toasted cake/bread crumbs, andundercooked apples. It was served with lovely berries and whipped cream, which looked delicious and were. The avocado/ heart of palm salad I brought home for my daughter-in-law was soggy. I will try again and maybe have soup.
