From beginning to end the experience was phenomenal! Owners jon and Morgan were there to greet us and the wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable! The atmosphere was awesome and we will definitely be back!
Do yourself a favor and go check this place out. Beautiful ambiance, and the food is outstanding! Every dish, including the appetizers were delicious. We were all picking off each other's plates to get a taste of everything! Not pictured were the drinks and dessert because we consumed them way too fast to get pictures! Blackberry gin drink was amazing and so was the tiramisu! Highly recommend!
Javin is the best bartender and makes the best martinis to your liking! So friendly and wanted to make sure we loved our drinks!! You must try the Balthazar!! I went for my friends birthday and can’t wait to go back to try the food!!
What service! The owners and partners as well as wait staff were knowledgeable and charming and I love the speakeasy vibe and old school cocktails! It is a perfect spot for every generation. And THE FOOD IS DIVINE! New favorite spot in Stamford. I will be back weekly at least!
Seriously one of the coolest places I’ve been to in Stamford so far! If I hadn’t seen others walking in, I might not have figured out where Cugine’s is, but that’s part of the speakeasy charm. This was such a fun date night for me and my boyfriend - it gave us an excuse to dress up, and it’s a very private dining experience with now dimly lit it is. All of the food was absolutely phenomenal, with the highlights being the homemade pasta and the fresh seafood. Desserts of the tiramisu and passion fruit covered ice cream were fantastic too. We really felt like we were in NYC for the night and just loved that there’s a place serving more upscale, classic Italian compared to how casual many Italian restaurants have become. Our servers throughout the night were very attentive and made an effort to talk to us about the dishes we were enjoying. My one critique is that it was quite loud, and my boyfriend and I felt like we were shouting to each other all night. Maybe some sound dampening decorations would do the trick. But overall, a truly unique experience that I would love to have again!
