We loved the calamari! It was very tender, not too breaded, and had nice hot peppers with it. Their pizza makes it worth the extra drive for us after they'd moved.
Loved the wild ramps pizza tonight. The owner picked the ramps himself from the woods of the Farmington Valley. How awesome is that?! More typical to enjoy this green related to garlic and onion in the South (West Virginia Ramps and festivals are great). The pizza there is always great, but this stepped it up even a notch higher tonight, if that was possible!
New location is cool. Glad it still has Batman action figure. Cupcakes were a pretty sweet touch.
A hidden gem! Best pizza I’ve had in New England - and I’ve had a lot! Kept it simple with pepperoni pie and it was perfectly cooked on that thin crust....wow.
Ever since they moved to the Avon location it hasn't been the same. The local feel and the comic book atmosphere are downplayed although not fully lost. The crust is the greatest change of all. What was once gorgeously thin and crispy has now become thicker and gummier. Let me make clear that the pizza isn't bad and I do love this place, the 4 stars is purely because I believe that the formula they had in Simsbury is infinitely better.
