“Awesome restaurant located on the outskirts of Hartford, in an easy to miss parking area located back to a Korean grocery store. Dining options are plentiful and their alcohol selection was surprisingly delightful, complimented by standard refreshments and teas. The staff are flexible with meal modifications. Their stone bowl meals are to die for, as are their traditional meal options. Presentation was fantastic and the service incredible. It is, in my opinion, a hidden gem and one I seek out when visiting the area.”

“Our family has visited Al Fresco when we happen to be in the area (we live in MA) or made the trip for special occasions. It is always clean and surprisingly not busy even on weekend nights. The service is friendly (last evening we were helped by Dorothy, who offered friendly conversation) and all of our food was fresh, hot, and large portions. I'm not sure why some other reviewers had bad experiences or thought the price/value for the selection or food was poor, but we have never had a bad experience here over the last few years. Al Fresco remains our favorite family style Italian restaurant to enjoy a handful of times a year.”

“This is one of the most welcoming venues anywhere for musicians - young and old. Venue is great, house band is terrific, Carmine is very attentive and accommodating, and the food and staff are super. They have welcomed my son (Dan the guitarist) with open arms for Open Mic nights and he and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Ron the house band leader is fabulous. What a great place and more teenage musicians should come try Open Mic on Thursday nights - you will have a great time! Ben”

“Best (insert grinder type here) ever. For the same price as a garbage Subway sandwich. Each grinder is at least two meals. We're talking 3 lbs of sandwich. But I've ate an entire one before just based on taste. The Italian, Turkey club, and pastrami club are nothing like you've ever had. The bread is fresh. I highly recommend some tortellini salad on the side. The different kinds of stuffed peppers are wonderful.”
