“Hard to believe there were so few people here on a Saturday night. Our meals were delicious, our waiter was attentive and thorough and our drinks were very good too. Warm rolls were brought out with butter, followed by salads. For my meal, I ordered 2 appetizers: 1) broccoli rabe with olive oil, garlic and sausage & 2) calamari. Both were absolutely fantastic, but I'm sure one would have been quite enough with maybe a little side salad. Hubby ordered the steak and it came perfectly medium. Our friends meals were also raved about. I'm really surprised, with food this good, that this place wasn't crowded. We will definitely be back.”

Listen to this: my visit made me laugh so much that I drove away with sub on top of the car; it didn't fall off until I got out of the parking lot. When I saw tragedy finally transpire, it was too late. “Sax always comes through for us. Been open for so many years and always consistent. Had a party of 7 and we all got different dinner specials and they were all excellent. Owners are friendly and interact with customers just the right amount. A friendly hello and a goodbye, even helped carry food to the car when we had the baby. Sax is definitely a comfort place for us. Recommend Sax for anyone who wants delicious fresh food and a chill atmosphere.”

When we were planning my brother's services and found out that Peter and Joan owned JV'S Taproom...it was a must for the reception! Food and service is still absolutely wonderful!
