We had our favorite sandwich, portobello mushroom with Swiss cheese and grilled veggies. I'd eat those every day if I could. They had outdoor seating and it was such a beautiful day out, what a perfect way to have lunch. All the staff were very helpful and very friendly. One of the staff even came out and gave us a couple of cookies. I will certainly go back again.
I've been to Jersey Mike's in Manchester but this location is so much better. They were very busy when we visited but the wait wasn't long at all. The staff was super nice. Very reasonably priced and worth it for the amount off food you get. Highly recommend.
Nice deli subs. Meat and cheese were sliced fresh for our order and piled high. I like my subs "dragged through the garden" when it comes to toppings, and they stacked it up so full they had trouble wrapping it up! It's a bit more $ than other sub shops, but you definitely get your money's worth. They have gluten free options also!
Good sandwiches, good service, but too expensive. I went here opening week to try the sandwiches. They were running a promo for a regular with $3 donation. A $3 regular beats out the competition easily. But their normal price ranges from $8.50 to $9.75 for the same sandwiches. Another comparison is Fitzgerald's Foods, right next door, offers a Boar's Head sandwich and side salad for ~$6. The sandwich compares with the Jersey Mike's mini, which is $6.50 to $7.25. Nearly there but not quite. Lowering prices roughly 25% would bring me back. Or making current sandwich prices future full meal combos. I really want you guys to succeed, you have a manufacturing plant with 400+ people within walking distance, the margins don't have to be so high when you can drive volume.
Very happy that Simsbury opened up a Jersey Mike's. Definitely needed a good sub shop around here. Not only that, the staff were super friendly and very professional. Despite the long line, my experience was positive and I was treated like a valued customer (the sandwich was off-the-charts delicious, too). I will definitely be going back frequently. I love the new Jersey Mike's!
