Excellent food and service all the time,Staff is Awesome. This is our go to place every week!!! Highly RECOMMENDED if you haven't been!!!

Great for a burger and a beer. Great wings -- late night for 75 cents each! Clean and good atmosphere.

Our first visit to this place, and we loved it! We both got BBQ brisket, mine in a sandwich with fries and hers just on a plate with some sides. The BBQ was very very good, and we're from TX, where BBQ is ubiquitous.

Our appetizer was tuna tartare, I think, and it was also tasty. We got a desert of cornbread cake with seared apples, whipped cream and ice cream. Sounds odd, or at least it did to me, but it was amazing. Sitting at the bar we also got popcorn to snack on.

The only downside for me, and I obviously didn't subtract from the score because of it, was the constant country music. I thought I'd left that stuff in TX. Ha ha

We have had several good experiences while dining at Tavern 42. The service is always friendly and quick to check in once you are seated. The kitchen is usually pretty quick, even during busy hours. Prices are reasonable for the area, and the selection of food is good. The brownie sundae is worth the trip alone, but make sure others have full bellies before ordering yours! Good selection of brews and a bar to sit and drink, or eat if you are so inclined.
