The Hop Knot - Southington

Food and drinks as always out of this world. Pastrami and buffalo chicken sandwiches for the win

We were served really mediocre pretzels, and considering that this place is called "Hop Knot" that's one thing that they should be amazing at. Sorry, but we won't be back. We tried the one in Middletown, and then this one... and still were under-whelmed. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is cool, so that deserves at least 3 stars.

Went for Monday Trivia Night at the behest of a friend, they said it was only their second trivia night and it was fun as hell. They had a great selection of IPA and local ones I didn't even know about. Parking was easy, which usually is my problem with bars. The place was clean, staff attentive, and vibe was one of a kind.

Hop Knot is quickly crawling to the top of my most favorite bars to visit. I absolutely love the low key atmosphere and the fact that they have soft pretzels (an absolute fave of mine.) Every few weeks they rotate specials which is wonderful, and their beer menu rotates even more frequently. They have trivia nights and they have board games just hanging around so a fun evening out with friends can be even more fun (and competitive!) The servers are always super friendly and don't harass you. We've easily sat there for 3 hours before without issue. The food is always good - I've had regular and stuffed pretzels, special pretzels, and the hot dog one. They've all been spectacular and delicious. I'll definitely be back more frequently now that I'm moving further north in the state. Highly recommend this place.

Our group of 4 went for happy hour. The beer menu was extensive and offered great options for each of us. We were all pleased with the pretzels we ordered... the Italian and the mozzarella with fresh tomatoes. The best though was our dessert pretzel, a delicious cream cheese filled pretzel with blueberry compote and incredible maple cream. Service was fabulous, our server was friendly, helpful, and fast.
