It's been about a month since I've eaten at the place. Two times I came over all the way to the area, they were out of practically everything. Today I managed to take my mother and father over and they happen to have exactly what we ordered previously. Given my mother never been here with us, and listened to numerous compliments from my father she had certain expectations. To say the least...
The quality and passion is not there anymore.
The cutlet I ordered, previously the size of 3/4 of the plate loaded with mushrooms was now barely half of the size in both width and height. Potatoes and gravy were plain and had literally no flavor to them.
The fish, previously extremely fresh and fried on the pan was now deep fried in oil like it was McDonald's or something. To make it even worse, it had no flavor since they've used close to no salt to season it prior. To say the least the salt shaker was on full rotation.
Both my parents were very disappointed. Especially my father after boasting about his previous visit.
The place has been open for a little over 2 months and already they've gone from passionate and great plates to Broad st quality of grab and go.
Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

I've eaten in practically every Polish restaurant around central Connecticut. A lot of New Britain ones are good, but this place is on a whole new level. Food is simply delicious. Fish was out of this world. Cutlet was loaded with fresh mushrooms and cheese. My personal thanks to the cook. I haven't had food this good out in a while.
Cute little restaurant! A variety of comfortable seating options for both large and small groups. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made ordering for a large group of first timers easy. The food is delicious, I highly recommend the potato pancakes and pierogi!! Will definitely visit again.
My mother ordered the stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes and kraut- excellent. She loved it. There was a slight oversight with my order but the owner/manager was a delight in remedying it. It was much appreciated:). The only thing I would add for the non-polish guests and possibly vegetarians, like myself, - the potato balls are filled with meat. So, I cannot give you a review for those. Good people and good food. Go super casual.
Polish Plate had really good food. Had a really great experience with the staff, they were friendly and very helpful. Was a pleasure having someplace where I could speak Polish and eat polish food. I will definitely come back soon. Hope business goes good and see you soon.
Everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and I love that you can see all the food your ordering. Gives you the option to see things you might not have known about or tried. For people who are unfamiliar with polish food this place is the perfect place and the food is authentic polish cuisine. Definitely be back again
