Prospect Cafe

Really impressed, I remember the old Cafe many years ago been told to visit the new one and check out the food and taplist. Quite a good list and the food was amazing despite a slightly different menu. I had a BBQ chicken sandwich which was awesome and my friend a BLT that couldn't possibly be finished both were great. I was totally craving a Cobb salad but was glad I tried something different.

This place is a Hartford standout! Reasonable prices and food as good as any in the area -- their chef is tops. Plus good parking, which is a rarity, and a quiet atmosphere conducive to conversation. Our new go to place for dinner with friends.

Not the usual "American cafe" menu at all! Loved the black bean quinoa chili and the romaine wedge salad with green goddess dressing! Either could have been a very tasty and satisfying meal in itself.

Typical bar food. Nothing special. A good place to meet friends and hang out but if you want good food you can probably find a better place

Been coming here since it opened, and have yet to have a bad meal. Always has awesome tap list, and good bar tenders. Food is a refreshing take on American fair. Classics like clam chowder, burgers, and fried chicken all done exceptionally well and elevated. Their specials are always on point an delicious like acorn squash coucous bowl with shrimp, or fresh ricotta gnocchi and salmon. Occasionally when new staff start waiting service can be a little spotty, but all the servers have been very friendly and professional.
My only real complaint is that in the last few months any of their pasta dishes with their cream sauce is really bland, not even salt or pepper. Everything else that comes on the dish is super tasty but the pasta is lacking.
Bar room is spacious and has a cool decor and they always have awesome chill music.
With its tiny and understandable flaws this place will always be my go to spot for drink and good meal.
