We went to Pho135 and The facility was absolutely beautiful and clean. Upon our entry, Emanuel greeted us with a smile and took us to our table. We both had Beef Pho. The portions were good and the broth was flavorful.
The best Pho I have had. Hands down! Seriously, I have eaten pho from at least 12 places in CT and many outside of the state. I could tell the broth was flavorful just by smelling it before I event took a taste. I got the Pho with beef. Some places use cheap ingredients. That was not the case here. I will definitely come back and try more on the menu! I also met Marcus who was very friendly and welcoming. Come here and you will not be disappointed.
For my Partner and I, this was our first time trying Pho, so we don’t have much experience to go off of. Let me say it was delicious! I got the vegetarian pho, which was nice to see on the menu as a lot of places only offer beef or chicken, and he got the beef. Everything was great, and the service and atmosphere were amazing! There were only two servers running the whole floor, but both were very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. Pho 135 had a very mom and pop vibe, with lots of regulars coming through the door with whom the servers new on a first name basis. Overall it was a great place to stop for lunch, with great prices and great food. We will definitely stop in here again!
Went there for a late lunch with friend today. Pho was pretty good, including lot of option for protein. Worth a try.
Pho135 is a welcome newcomer to the Vietnamese food scene in the area. The food and service improve with each visit, which is wonderful.
The staff is great about making suggestions about menu items and accommodating requests for extra basil or spiciness for diners seeking more intense flavors.
It seems they also make a special effort to include a few blander dishes among the specials, perhaps to appeal to suburban American tastes. That's a considerate touch and, for the most part, those dishes are easy to identify and avoid.
What can't be avoided is the mindless American teen music played at relatively high volumes. Once in a while, I will ask them to turn the volume down a bit, which they do graciously. Usually, though, I simmer silently or get take out. Occasionally i will decide against dining at the restaurant, especially with a group, to avoid the din.
Still, on balance, I think quite highly of Pho135. If you like Vietnamese cuisine, it's worth a stop.
