The Village Bistro, another GREAT addition for those who enjoy a special culinary delight in the Chester, Deep River area. We stopped in without a reservation and were pleased to be able get a table. By the time we left, it was obvious that a reservation is suggested. We tried a number of small plates to try and get a flavor of the cuisine for our next visit and we very pleased with ALL of our plates. It is noticeable when the owners and the kitchen take great pride in the creativity, quality and presentation of the menu. The atmosphere is eclectic and the property is spotless. The owners, Chelsey and Asley could not have been more accommodating. We hope The Village Bistro has a fantastic season ,we are SURE that they will and we will be back.

We came without a reservation on a Saturday night and we were so lucky that they gave us an extra seat out a back room counter! It was an awesome spot that they don’t usually use and we loved it!

The staff and owner we so nice and professional. A special ail shout out to Ashley, the owners sister who didn’t just say no when we showed up. She spoke to her sister and open a spot. She checked on us and made great recommendations too.

When they take your order they ask if you have any special concerns and allergies that they can be aware of while preparing your meal.

The food was spectacular! My husband had the small plate- Roasted Pork Belly~ pedro ximénez, confit leek, mushrooms escabeche. He then had the Oxtail Bolognese~ whipped ricotta, parmesan, bucatini and Again he was blown away by the flavor of the fresh pasta as well as the oxtail being cooked perfection. I had and loved the Mussels~ garlic, shallot, leeks, tomato brodo, hot sausage. In addition to the mussels, I had Brussel Sprouts ~ pickled red onions, agre dolce, crunchy things.

My husband wanted to go back today! Flawless was his word for it. Ashley was wonderful and all were welcoming. We will be back soon!
