I really like Powder Ridge, it is our local mountain. I bring my son with me to learn to snowboard. Next year I'm getting season passes for sure !

It was a little difficult explaining to my wife that the family ski trip from NYC this year was going to be in southern Connecticut! I told her to trust me but I was getting a little nervous. I mean, there is no snow on the ground. Zero. Man did it work out great. As far as my 3 and 6 year old children were concerned, it could have been the Alps. Everything was unbelievably easy. We skied on a Thursday and a Friday in February, 4 hr. passes. Parked within 30 feet of the rental office. No line, got us all geared up, mandatory helmets, tickets and off to the kids lessons. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dropped the kids for a 1.5 hr lesson. They have a pretty good program with dedicated instructors, a magic carpet and a short lift. That gave my wife and I about an hour to get some runs in without the kids. I have skied all over the world and still had fun. Just big enough to get a decent run, we hit some good snow and amazing sunny, 50 degree weather. No lines at the lifts at all, zero. Don't come here expecting Colorado or Vermont. The mountain is small. The lifts are old and don't have any cushions. They don't run the snow guns as much as they could because they just are not pulling in the skiers to justify the expense. They do have terrain for boarders. We also did a couple hours of tubing which was a blast. All ages had fun. The lodge is new, has a great bar and better than average lodge food. At the end of the trip I felt good, my wife had a great time and my kids said this was the biggest and best mountain they have ever been to, even though they have skied much bigger, much more expensive mountains in Vermont and Massachusetts. Powder Ridge was a huge success. Very manageable and family friendly.

Absolutely love this place! Always has cheap prices and on top of that, flexible hours. The workers are always kind and willing to help with anything. On top of that, it has an amazing terrain park.

Heard about Powder Ridge on the radio and thought I'd try it out. I loved it. There are instructors on site and everyone seemed to be knowledgeable about the equipment as well as skiing and snowboarding. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. Place was clean and there's a cafeteria area to grab some food if you want to take a break from the slopes. Check out their informative website for details but you're sure to have fun at Powder Ridge.

Had a blast tubing today with the family (1-3pm). Bought the passes online and they scanned my tickets from my phone there. You can print them out at home also. Not too crowded and not much of a wait at the top. They have helmets there if you don't want to bring your own.
