Istanbul Gyro & Kebab

Ordered through Uber eats. Best falafel I’ve had in a long time. Held up in the container too. Wasn’t soggy.

There is A lot Gyro place in Connecticut but I say if you check Istanbul Gyro & Kebab you will forget other places. Hasan abi Is chef of this restaurant they he prepares the food is insane. If you love Mediterranean food then you should check this place!

We have been looking for some good Turkish/Middle Eastern food. Well I think we found it. My partner grew up with many of these dishes. I’m slightly less versed so went simple with the falafel wrap. Absolutely fantastic. My partner had the dolma and raved about it, definitely was close to what he grew up with. Nothing seemed like it was from a box, frozen or premade, hummus, Sarma, tabuleh and rice pilaf all great. Baklava is very contentious in this house and we both loved it, just sweet enough and made the proper way (house made) with pistachios. Overall great food, fairly reasonable in price. Love the creative use of space sharing a building, during this covid pandemic. Great job Istanbul, definitely will be ordering again, and highly recommend this amazing food.
Got a free milk pudding which was also amazing.
