Amazing experience - such helpful staff such as Alex and the entire team and Chef Ricky puts his heart and soul in the food. Gem gem gem alert
Great location to visit for breakfast. Parking is a little tricky when busy, but there is a little bit of available parking behind the location. Though it is accessible from pretty much any parking lot in the town center.
Pulled pork was excellent, great breakfast option. Definitely worth checking out on a trip to Westbrook.
Talented cooks and best pulled pork I have ever had! Great local spot and friendly staff! Amazing specials for a cheap price. Hidden gem on the shoreline! Ricky and Lukas are a talented duo, prepare yourself for a meal and a show. Nice open line so you can see your food being cooked right in front of you. Hard working people pumping out fresh, creative meals! THIS IS A MUST TRY! Turtle Cafe is an absolute institution !
Definitely a hidden gem. We had planned to try another nearby spot for Sunday breakfast/brunch but they had a long wait and I had peeked at the menu here and the crepes sounded amazing. I was not disappointed the Lobster Crepe was to die for. Loaded with lobster, goat cheese and spinach and the sauce omg I ate every bite.
My husband got the woody omelete which was corned beef hash and cheese. The corned beef was excellent.
We sat at the counter and chatted up a few regulars. It was like breakfast and a show watching the chef and sous chef knock out dishes with precision and ease. They were a well oiled machine and I'm looking forward to going back.
Passing up the gigantic breakfast buffet at the resort we were staying at, we came here for breakfast today on the recommendation of our dinner waiter (who is a local). Holy cow, what a place. It was hopping! We squeezed in at the counter which was prime viewing to watch the chef, Lucas, work his magic. It was a cross between Top Chef and NASCAR. In that tiny space he was cranking it all out: fluffy pancakes, the best home fries I ever ate, fritattas, creps and eggs of all kinds. I opted for the lobster Benedict, done with giant chunks of fresh lobster meat sautéed with fresh spinach and with a perfectly poached egg, while hubby had the amazing hash + eggs. Lucas made sure everyone felt as welcomed as a regular. We will absolutely be back, even if it's out of the way because it's THAT GOOD.
