A friend suggested that I try Home which is a short ride from New Haven to the Branford Green. We went for an early dinner on a Sunday. The front is bar area with some tables A small jazz combo was playing. A pleasant surprise.

We were escorted to the back room, which was spacious with high ceiling and large framed photographs of the Green the walls. Server was attentive and had some useful suggestions.My friend ordered the ocean fresh salmon .I had the a small bowl of clam chowder and a house salad. She had a fig Cosmo.
The soup was more generous than I anticipated for a cup. It spicier than I like but perfect for most. I am not a fan of jalapenos. Lots of seafood I enjoyed it. Her fish..perfect. My hamburger with bacon well cooked onions and cheese medium rare..perfect. No room for dessert but coffee rich and dark ended the meal.

There is a focus on wine, beer and cocktails from the bar. There was big selection of alcoholic beverages.
This is clearly an upscale, bit pricey restaurant but worth every penny.

I was in the area, and followed previous reviews to this fantastic place. The staff was welcoming and very efficient, and the food was fabulous. The atmosphere in the bar's lounge was congenial, and I am looking forward to returning again soon.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. In fact everything I tried on my night here was superb. It's one of those places that's on the pricier side, but after eating the cost is totally justified.

The atmosphere is great too. A cozy lounge wooden bar room with easy chairs and sofas, and small house-like hallways between rooms. Cozy and classy.

We loved it!!! We had the fried dough appetizer that was awesome. We had the Paddy melt, mac and cheese pot pie and steak and cheese sandwich. We all scarfed it down then had chocolate cake dessert. We never eat like that but what a treat to have cheat night!!!!❤

We have been to Home twice now and had a fantastic experience both times. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. The "living room" is a particularly unique and fun dining experience. And, most importantly, the food is delicious. I particularly recommend their Mac and cheese as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I would not hesitate to recommend Home to anyone looking for delicious "home cooking."
