The serves was great, so was the food. 10/10 would go again. It's not super popular but it's such a great place. The food is great and they're really good about allergies. I'm a huge fan of BBQ so I say with confidence this was some of the best I've ever had up north.
The food is great. I travel to the south often and Mission BBQ is legitimately as good up here as it is down there. Love the brisket and the jalapeno cheddar sausage, the peach cobbler is to die for, and Maggie's Mac-n-Cheese is a must-have side. The staff are great, and we plan to use their catering services. Their commitment to hiring and honoring veterans is commendable.
The person who took my order was super friendly and even took the time to make sure I understood how the smoked turkey was going to look like and also that there was onions in the greens bean which is not advertised, I appreciate it. The man that gave me my order was also very friendly suggesting what sauces I should get based on what I liked. The food was not cold what so ever and the smoked salmon, turkey and pulled chicken were all very delicious. I also try out new spots when they are not busy and it wasn’t too busy at all so it was nice. The unsweetened tea is also amazing to mix with the lemonade. I also like the fact that the “Hero’s” cup You can bring back for free refills at another time and also a portion of the proceeds go to helping our veterans out! Definitely will go back!
New to Orange, CT. Was expecting to be a sit down and order place, but you order at a counter and take it to your seat! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I got a pulled chicken sandwich with fries! The food came up quick! The table had 6 different sauces to try! I used a sweet honey sauce on my chicken and it was pretty good! The portion was reasonable for lunch! All condiments and beverages are at the counter area. I would come back.
Amazing-tasting and REAL BBQ. Texas style brisket is aptly named and that’s coming from this Texan who has been looking for something similar to the Mecca of BBQ back home for a year now here in CT.
This stuff is legit. Sides are great, meat was great, variety of sauces are fun.
My only issue is that I apparently went when they were doing a soft opening because I’ve been back twice since then and they’ve been closed. 🤔🤔 Open up, please! I’m hungry.
