Traditional family dine-in restaurant. Staff were good. Service was average. Food was good. There’s a fair amount on the menu that I would try. Looks like they have weekend specials. I would recommend giving this place a go.

Chip’s would definitely be my go to diner if I lived in CT. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. Our server, Anthony, was very friendly, attentive, but most importantly patient. I came here to try out their “specialty” pancakes. If you don’t like pre-made options they offer, you have the option to build your own pancakes too. I ordered the 2x2x2x2 and substituted the plain buttermilk pancakes for the specialty Coconut Crunch pancakes for an additional cost and it was worth it. The pancakes were large, fluffy and melted in your mouth; simply delicious. If you’re getting other food alongside your pancakes, I’d recommend getting a short stack because the pancakes are quite filling and a bit sweeter than expected. I’ll definitely come back to try out their other menu items.

Have to admit I was rooting for this place based on other reviews, but it really was not very good at all. My husband's Power Salad had a totally flavorless dressing and massive amounts of red onion in thick chunks/ slices, so it just tasted like raw kale and onion...aka bad rabbit food. My daughter's mac and cheese was literally swimming in cheap bland cheese sauce so deep that she could scoop several spoonfuls of just sauce before she got to the pasta. My salad, the roasted Brussels sprouts and Tomatoes Caesar was decent, but it claimed to be on baby kale, but was served on shredded regular kale, which is much stronger in flavor, chewier, and cheaper, so it was an annoying swap out. It served the purpose of an easy off the highway lunch, but I have no desire to go back. Maybe they're better at breakfast.

It was excellent as usual. I have the two two two. I got a few different dishes there for breakfast and all of them were great. Their omelets are incredible. Great portions. I'm a big eater and always walk away stuffed.
