Herman's Diner

Great home town dinner kind of place, I highly recommend going here. Don't listen to the low star ratings, it must just not be their kind of restaurant. But if you enjoy a home style down to earth diner, this is the place for you.

Absolutely great breakfast. Atmosphere was great very nice small town joint. Will definitely be a regular customer.

Went to this place based on all the great reviews but I was not impressed. Their food was okay and the atmosphere was very tiny and to be honest not worth it. Its a decent place, but its not worth a return trip. If you are looking for a great breakfast place in Colchester I would recommend going to Diane's instead.

Excellent food...excellent prices...exceptional staff..Jodie the owner is friendly and very accommodating to her customers.
Will definitely return for both breakfast and lunch and will spread the word about this great diner.
Please do not pass up an opportunity to meet Jody and staff and enjoy a fabulous meal...well worth it...

This place is an old-school treasure! Limited seats and tables inside, and it fills up with regular patrons daily. The coffee is always fresh & hot, and the grill is in open sight to watch your food being prepared and cooked. The waitresses are busy but make time to chat and see if your meal is satisfying and if you need a refill. The home fries are flavorful and delicious, and the corned beef hash is fantastic. I highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.
