Abbott's Lobster In the Rough

I have to agree with best lobster rolls! The food is great and by far the freshest. Steamers were big, not many small ones. Huge dining area. Inside, outside, and out on the dock. Beautiful scenery. Abbotts needs to be on your to go to list.

Was in the mood for a lobster roll. Checked them online everyone seemed to enjoy the food there. Told the mrs let's take a ride for some grub. Hour later we were enjoying a lobster roll and a crab roll. Which both have a nice fresh and great taste. We also tried the bisque and clam chowder. They were both very good. Will be back for sure.

While the lobster was good and fresh, I just don't see the attraction. Parking was next to impossible. Roads leading in are very narrow. The view was beautiful on the water. Staff was curious and helpful. Long wait in line to order. Price for lobster is market price and was as expected. Unfortunately, lobster on a hot dog bun is not my thing.

Abbott's is a great place to get fresh lobster at a very reasonable price. You order at a counter and eat outside at picnic tables. The line moves quickly but parking is sometimes scarce. Beautiful views of the water. You can bring your own beer/wine and they are dog friendly.

Best lobster rolls in Connecticut by far. The hot buttered is my favorite. The muscles were incredible as well. Nothing beats seafood by the shore in a perfect location. The prices were even pretty good for what you get!
