This place is great. The food is good, the staff is pleasant, and you get free books with your meal! It's the perfect place to stop during a road trip.
We stopped here for breakfast at the end of a trip and enjoyed it quite a lot. The food was fine, no complaints, but of course the thing we were there for was the novelty of a combination bookstore/restaurant, which delivered. The selection was fair, and they had a book cellar with additional titles for purchase as well, although that seemed on the smaller side. They also had big paper bags of romance novels for $10, which I thought was great although I don't read them myself. Definitely a cute concept and worth it for the experience, especially since it's right off the highway.
Picture windows give a nice view of bird feeders. My wife and I had nicer burgers. The children's meals were good. The quality crayons with the children's menus were appreciated. Picking out books was a lot of fun. My family will go again.
Down home American style food, well prepared, friendly staff and good drinks. This place has awesome aesthetic of a library/ bookstore and restaurant. There's a bookstore downstairs and in the restaurant each paid meal let's you take home 3 FREE BOOKS from the bookshelves! SWEET!
Great traditional style American diner to stop by for any meal of the day. I stopped by on a little road-trip to NYC and was delighted by kind and attentive staff and filling home style meals. I personally kept it pretty basic with just a grilled cheese and tomato soup (what can I say, sometimes the simple things taste the best ????) and both impressed. And trust me, I've had people mess up a grilled cheese. Definitely gets the seal of approval from me!
