Nice spot with an unique menu. Small plates to share or keep for yourself. The atmosphere is nice.
Great service. You may get average food there or extraordinary food there-it has been inconsistent. Too pricey. Drinks weak EVERY time and WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Good atmosphere. For an area starving for good food, this place is good.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Beautifully prepared, multi-layered, exquisite dishes. Artful, locally conscious, unforgettable.
Bravo! We had one of the best dates here. We also had one of our more expensive dates here. The atmosphere and service gave off an artsy vibe with no pretense. I tried one of their cocktails and I was pleasantly surprised! I quickly found myself wanting another. The delicious choices for the small plates, the fresh warm breads and creamy cheeses were all exquisite! Every new plate delivered in its own way. Each element complemented the other for maximum flavor. I suppose all this explains the maximum pricing as well. But we will be back and we simply must bring friends. Encore!
Really, 4.5 stars. But several dishes were disappointing, and the cost was big city dining, for small plates in a small town bistro. My dining partner rated her meal 5 stars all the way, so maybe I expected too much. But the kale Caesar salad's excellent tender baby greens were overwhelmed with an extremely salty dressing that didn't come from the anchovies (extra charge in a Caesar!). They were not minced and integrated, but dropped whole in a pile on one side of the salad. Croutons were crushed into crumbs for some reason. The duck fat fingerling potatoes were barely browned baked potatoes with a small topping of strongly seasoned sour cream (I think) that made successive bites either bland or sharp. Not great for 8 bucks. But the seared scallops were simply terrific! Perfectly prepared, four tender little bays in a butter cream sauce with a few tiny drops of chili oil. Also notably good dishes were gnocchi and marinated beets. So all in all, a good meal, despite a couple of clinkers. I'll be back.
