“We stopped in around noon time, were impressed with the new, bright and clean decor..........have followed that building from when it was Track 9, then River and Rails, and now Flat Pennies. Most impressed with Flat Pennies. We shared their turkey club, WAY too big for one person, and their macaroni salad was excellent. Wait staff was charming, helpful and cheerful. We will definitely be a fixture there, so many other choices to try!!!”

“If you’re willing to pay a little more for pasta, this is a good spot. It’s pretty expensive for the portion size but I enjoyed my pasta (got tagliatelle). The pasta is cooked al dente, good if you like it that way and not soft pasta. The roasted tomato sauce for the tagliatelle was superb! The fried pasta— is pretty good, but could use some more seasoning, as it tastes somewhat bland. If that’s your speed, you’ll probably enjoy it. FYI, for dine in, you pay inside at the register for your meal and they’ll give you a number for a table, indoors or outdoors.”

“I came to try the new Pokemotto, it was so great. I came in with all 3 of my kids and the staff was welcoming and more than accommodating. They have tables inside or outside to dine in which was a nice option for the kids. I have never tried a poke bowl before and each member was very patient and informative with all the products they have to offer. The bubble tea was awesome as well. Overall great new spot, yummy food and wonderful experience. Will defiantly be back!”

“From a cottage baker selling bread off of her front porch, to opening both the Flour Girl Cafe and Bakery! What a great story. Cafe has wonderful sandwiches and soups. Employees always have a smile to greet guests. A 25 minute drive from home for me, but worth it...especially now that the bakery is open. Keep up the good work!”

“Great location to visit for breakfast. Parking is a little tricky when busy, but there is a little bit of available parking behind the location. Though it is accessible from pretty much any parking lot in the town center. Pulled pork was excellent, great breakfast option. Definitely worth checking out on a trip to Westbrook.”

“Amazing Naan Pizza.. I am a vegetarian and I love the all the veggie pizzas;Paneer Tikka , veggie Supreme and spinach and Shrooms. The pizza is soft and fluffy which make it unique. The garlic flavor in the spinach and shrooms pizza is rich. I did hear about other pizzas tasting great ask well.. The ambience is good too. I would definitely recommend this place. 👌 👍”

“Super cute place and the owner and workers are really nice! Definitely a gem in east haddam that you must visit! I got a banana strawberry smoothie which was nice, I liked how sweet it was, it was basically my desert drink! I got a turkey sandwich which was good, everything was very fresh. And we had also got a Ruben which was very tasty. We sat out at the back and you can see a stream running through. Super cute and cozy atmosphere to just sit and talk while enjoying some food and drink.”

“A work colleague and I decided to try this place for lunch. I haven't had Ecuadorian food before but it was excellent. I have had Peruvian food a couple of times and it is a similar palet but some interesting and new things to try. The service was great and our waitress was funny and full of knowledge. The food that we got was awesome. I got the fried plantains with cheese as an appetizer and the fried rice with chicken as my main course. The food was extremely fresh and handmade. I will definitely be going back there again. It was nice to sit in there little patio in the middle of what looks like the garden that they gets there vegetables from.”

“The Brushmill has finally reopened, definitely worth the wait! Beautifully decorated, we sat at the upstairs bar which happens to have wine on tap! Chef Joe Roberto out did himself ( again), the duck with Camembert onions, beets, gooseberry, what a winning combination! The King cut prime rib was one big hunk of delicious ness, medium rare, cooked perfectly! Very friendly staff, really enjoyed chatting with Patrick, Krysta, Aaron and always a treat to see Chef Roberto!”

“Great location, great service and very high quality of food/drinks. For instance, I would highly recommend their avocado toast, which always comes out perfectly presented (guaranteed after ordering it maybe 20 times), and never with a bad looking slice. The hummus under keeps the avocado standing perfectly which makes the recipe better but also a lot easier to eat! The atmosphere also is good and whether inside or outside they have plenty of nice spots. PS: One thing to consider is that they do not have WiFi, so if you seat inside deep enough you might not be able to stay connected.”
