Mike & Mel’s Family Restaurant

I have been dining here since I was a young girl and it was Halls and have always loved it. Even when it switched to Mike and Mels I still would enjoy it. But my recent experience was horrible. The customer service is the worst I’ve ever had. Not to mention a hair was found in my pregnant sisters food and we were treated like we were the ones in the wrong. I will never be dining here again.

Wife and I have had breakfast and dinner here recently. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The first time we went, I had a Western Omelette with home fries and toast... the omelette was cooked perfectly, and not drowned in salt like I've had in other places. The home fries were ok. The toast was just right. My wife had two eggs over medium with home fries, bacon and toast. The portions were great. The price was under $20 for both including my coffee. Our second trip was at dinner time. I ordered liver and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans. The liver was very good and flavorful as were the mashed potatoes and green beans. Wife had beer battered fish with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Everything was very tasty. The restaurant is MUCH nicer and the food better than the former restaurant. This is a nice family, budget friendly place to eat which is hard to find these days.

This morning was a second visit for breakfast for me and my Lady, great service and great food. We are definitely regulars from now on. I have an intellectual disability with ptsd, so I rarely ever leave the security of my home surroundings, but the atmosphere there helps me big time, so thank you very much and my wallet fell out of my back pocket there this morning and when I walked in to check if it was there, they greeted me with a smile and my wallet. God is so awesome 💪 plus the lady with the rubber gloves was surprisingly gentle. Lol 😂
