Augustine Inn Seafood & Chop House

This is my second review and I must say, the food place is a really pleasant surprise for the area. It has old time charm (newly renovated) with modern fare (food) ., ;). I definitely recommend this for a nice upscale getaway evening drive and meal.

The porch is even heated and enclosed now so we enjoyed the Sunshine across the water during Brunch.

Wow! Phenomenal. 5 Stars. Beautiful historic bldg. Great service, atmosphere and the food; really the best I've had in a long time. Try the pork chop! It was all exceptional.

1st time visiting the Augustine Inn. Wait staff all around were pleasant, well dressed and very polite. Food selection was generous. Note to the public: if you want the crab bisque get there before 730pm especially the cold weather. ;)

Antipasto board was delicious. Eggplant parmesan was amazing. The tomato sauce was pure and simple.

We were seated on the porch which has new weather panel windows. It was super cold outside but the porch was comfortable enough that my ALWAYS cold self was able to sit comfortably with out my coat on. :)

We will definitely be back.

A wonderful experience from start to finish with a friendly greeting as we came through the door, our wonderful server, Lori, to the owner coming to our table to check on us during our meal..our meal consisted of the french onion soup which was amazing and authentic with rich flavor and lots of melted cheese, and two carefully chosen appetizers which were delicious and unique.. there is live music and the Inn is warm, lively and welcoming...did I mention the delicious food and awesome service? We'll be back very soon..stiff competition for local tavern type venues. We wish the new owners well as this place has unlimited potential.

I'll admit I was a little apprehensive about eating here after reading reviews but as it turned out, I was concerned for nothing. My wife and I joined two other couples for dinner last night. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We had appetizers as well as entrees. All were very good! I would definitely recommend the crab bisque! One of the best I've ever had! We had steaks, fish and the pork chop. All were cooked perfectly, had lots of flavor and were presented VERY nicely. Those of us who drank cocktails, myself included enjoyed them. Our server was very friendly and kept us happy throughout the evening, even managing to time all our entrees perfectly which took a little thought because one of us had the HUGE Tomahawk steak which takes extra time to prepare.
It was also a nice surprise that when the checks came, there was no shock. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of our meals. I would definitely recommend the Augustine Inn and look forward to eating there again.
