Caffe Gelato Restaurant

Caffe Gelato is a local institution, and a world-famous eatery. It's intimate and cozy, with an upscale atmosphere at small town prices. To be sure, it's not inexpensive, but a meal of similar outstanding quality would set you back far, far more sharply in a larger city. Focused primarily on Italian cuisine (big surprise!), you will find a wide ranging selection of meal choices. Of course, there's also the namesake Gelato! Outstanding house-made gelato and deserts round out your meal in a most satisfactory way!

Nice lively restaurant in middle of Newark downtown. The food is good and the ambience is nice and cozy. You get nice deals most fo the times. But no parking on premises. So you have to street park.

Food and service always consistantly good. Most recently there for a small retirement gathering of about 25 people in the bar area. The set up was nice, food was good, and the service good as well.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Delaware. The best part is that it's in the heart of where I went to high school and college. Just a five minute walk from the University of Delaware campus. The food here, especially the roasted rack of lamb, is mouth watering and amazing. And you have to try their Mango Sunset drink...so damn good. Great ambience, amazing food, professional and courteous staff. Highly recommend ????????????

My husband and I have gone here a few times for dinner. We both love pasta and wine, and a friend of mine from Newark recommended it. Their food is awesome!! I’ve tried the gnocchi dish and the tortellini and both were SO good. They also have a huge wine selection and beautiful interior!
