Central Perk Coffee & Deli

I love it... Awesome choices for coffee, tea or even a smoothie ( natural fruit not Wawa fruit blend) and you can also enjoy an assortment of sandwiches anytime of day. Avocado on Focaccia with grilled chicken is AWESOME!!!

Great customer service. I always get the Avo on focaccia and it so GOOD! Everything from the food, to the coffee is excellent!

How does this place make money? I was meeting a business acquaintance for a cup of coffee and a conversation. When I arrived, every table (except one) was occupied by students working on their computers. The majority didn't have drinks or food on their tables.

I grabbed the empty table and brought a chair over from another table.

A young lady walked in, made a bee line to the empty chair at my table grabbed it and started to walk away. I told her I was waiting for someone.

She went to another table, sat down and started working (without buying anything). I feel bad for the owners of this place. It appears the kids treat it like a library when they can get coffee if they desire.

It is also pretty loud, so we did have a hard time communicating over the din. And yes, we both ordered coffee and food, so we "paid" for our seats.

Enjoyed this place immensely! It was a cute, college cafe with a young adult atmosphere. Our omelettes were delicious and the staff was very warm and inviting. It made out trip the Newark, DE all the more delightful. Lots of outlets to charge electronics and a real simple set up.

I am a regular customer at Central Perk and I am always recognized by the employees! They never mess up the order: Strawberry Blueberry Raspberry smoothie. The best place to get smoothies by far! Way better than those artificial flavours that other places use, as Central Perk uses REAL FRUIT! Whenever someone mentions a smoothie, I always recommend Central Perk! I even bring my friends over on the weekend, they love it! No complaints ever! Thank you guys! -Faith
