Skipjack Dining

They were busy, as it was a Saturday night, but they still seated us pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great! I had the artichoke au gratin appetizer and a crab cake. Crab cake was white throughout.. Hardly any filler. Cozy dining.. Not much room for small kids.

Sort of out-of-the-way location across from the old Louviers complex in a strip mall type setting, with average decor...but the food is outstanding. Have eaten here many times over many years and always a memorable experience. American cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, it's innovative without getting to the weird and absurd. You won't need a dictionary to dig through the menu, but the quality of the offerings is consistently superior. Highly recommended!

This is by far the best restaurant in Newark! The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff cements it! I've ordered almost every dish and my favorite is the buffalo gulf shrimp!

We rarely go out to a sit down diner. We started with a cheese board which was great. We split the pear/arugula salad. Entrees were red snapper and some scallops. Food was excellent and at a very reasonable price.
