Santa Fe Mexican Grill

Good Tex Mex, more than just Burritos, but many of the entrees don't come with sides, and the portions are a little smaller than other restaurants, for the price. But the taste and ingredients are very good. The restaurant atmosphere mostly revolves around the bar. It feels more like a bar & grille than a full service restaurant. Which may be the intent.

My mom and I wanted to grab a quick bite. We went around a couple of restaurants to ask for the wait time and this restaurant gave us the lowest time (30 minutes). So we decided to wait. There was no place to sit and wait. You have to stand by the doorway and let the cold air hit you as people come in and out. We ended up waiting for 60 minutes, not 30. It's understandable when the wait time is a little off, but double the amount we were given threw off our whole schedule. I let manager know of the situation, and he was very nice. If not for him, I would have given a one star. He made sure our food came fast and gave us free churros to go as an apology. However, the food wasn't really good either.

I would like to say that the food is delicious. Unfortunately the portions does not match the price... When ordering tacos you received very little meat with large portions of vegetables. when discussed with the manager she did provide more meat on the house... This was commendable. Still the portions are not worth the expense!

Food was amazing, service was so so, but I believe our server was new, not sure since this was our first time so hopefully service will be better next time. Nachos were amazing, I recommend them with the pork, and had the pastor tacos? Genuine Mexican food. Not easy to find anymore, and this place was perfect, as well as great music. Listened to some of my favorite Aventura songs :)

I know this is a college bar and hangout place but I was actually impressed with our wait staff, service, speed, and the food itself. I liked the food, it was better than just an Americanized "Mexican" restaurant. It was actually Mexican flavors and tasted great! The menu is pretty big and they have a happy hour menu too. I recommend this place. They accommodated for our baby and were very good with paying attention to your table even when it was busy. Tip your good waitresses or waiters!!!
