Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Love the friendly atmosphere. Great salad and bread sticks. Good variety of pasta dishes if you like Italian food.

Where do I even begin? I met my sister in law for lunch on Saturday. I didn't have to wait for a table which is always a great start. We were attended to very quickly. Our waitress was great! Brought out the breadsticks and salad well before the meal. Our meals were fantastic! When we were ready to go, she boxed up our meals. Now there's a miniature computer at each table. I guess if your waiter is too slow, or is caught up with another table, you can place your own order, pay, ect. It's quite nifty and even prints out a receipt. We had a great time talking, eating, and relaxing. The restaurant was clean and quiet even though it was far from empty. It's a place that I would definitely recommend and go back to myself. It's also equipped for the disabled/handicapped and has plenty of parking for both.

The food was good. Our server was great. The hostess at the time was kinda rude, not welcoming at all. The bathrooms were clean but it's really small. I almost clocked someone with the stall door when I was coming out and felt a little claustrophobic when I was washing my hands beside someone else while a lady waited for an empty stall. If the hostess was nicer I would have given them 5 stars.

Not being a fan of Italian chain restaurants I want to be fair.
We ordered spicy shrimp scampi fritta.
To me having the shrimp lightly breaded and deep fried is not the way I would have done. Sauteing would have been my way. The spicy was more like a relish and duck sauce mixture. Not spicy at all.
Then my main meal was shrimp and lobster mac and cheese. Again it was just alright. No explosion of flavor.
The rigatoni was over cooked and the cheese was more like a liquid.

This is why I really try my best to stay out of Italian chain restaurants.

At least my date was delicious!
