La Matesina Pizza Pasta

Subs are thin not a great sandwich. Going to try dinner and hope it's better than the sandwich.

I have been a customer of La Matesina for many seasons, and am proud to have come to know Liz, Stefano and their family. This place is the best kept secret in Delaware, quite possibly the best 'lil Italian bistro around. You do yourself a grave disservice if you only come here for the pizza, for while there is nothing wrong with that, you really owe it to yourself to order an entree and put Stefano to the challenge. His food does not disappoint. Homemade bread, homemade sauces, Stefano truly brings the flavor of Napoli to his cooking. I have not had any entree I didn't enjoy, and if you leave here hungry, it's your own fault! A final note - I tell Stefano all the time that his Marinara sauce is the best I have ever had, and I would put it up against any other Marinara from four or five star eateries. It's truly magical, especially if you get fresh garlic bread with cheese and dribble it on the bread... I'm getting hungry now myself! :-)
