Eclipse Bistro

My husband and I love the whole experience, always! We've been coming for the last 6 years since we moved in here: this bistro was recommended to us by friends. It maintains the highest mark in cuisine, service, ambience; One of the best acoustics around; the great selection of music plays in the background, you don't have to fight it with the volume of your voice; also their thoughtful approach to customers has been unparalleled. Our favorite place in any given time, for any type of night out, or celebration. Their menu changes with season and the exceptional cooking is worth checking! Thanks Eclipse Bistro!

The best Tequila Sunrise that I have ever had...hands down! A modern day bistro, with an inviting energy and staff, a well put together place with beautiful, and tasteful decor. Perfect lighting that gives you an old school feel of a place where you could picture writers/poets like Ernest Hemingway, Langston Hughes, James Baldwin and so forth hanging out for some drinks and conversation, while taking timeout to decompress for an arduous day of putting their ideas, stories to paper. Highly recommend.

Just back from one of our better dinning experiences. It was a very busy night due to the fact it is Saturday night 2 days after Valentines Day. The food & the staff could not have been better. Had bistro salad & the red wine vinaigrette went perfectly with feta cheese. My main plate was scallops with glazed short ribs & root veggies with a hint of vanilla vinaigrette was perfect. The whole staff were very attentive and friendly very well organized for a busy busy night. Just loved our waiter as busy as he was he had a great personality. We were there 20 years prior and we are not sure why we waited so long. But we will be back soon. Aussome job and food! !!

Hidden Gem! I have driven past eclipse 1000 times but never stopped until today! I'm so happy that I went in the service was amazing. The meal started with fresh bread herb butter with honey and sea salt or pesto oil. For lunch I had the eclipse burger. The burger was perfect. I loved the onion and blue cheese. Although we were full we look at the desert menu and it looked great. I can't wait to go back and try more items.

Polite and charismatic service! We had the lamb shank and my girlfriend had the chicken dish and both were fantastic! You can't find a better restaurant in the Wilmington area.

On a separate but related note; I made a reservation for Saturday evening, the weekend before Christmas. I made the reservation just a few days in advance and when we arrived, apparently we weren't in their system. Initially I was disappointed and angry since we were there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday.

David, Eclipse's host, quickly handled the situation with poise and professionalism. Within 10 minutes he had us seated and bought us a drink. You can image the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, during the holidays, but the staff were accommodating and quick with their service. I strongly recommend and look forward to going back!
