This is my son's favorite soul food place! He can not get enough mac n cheese and sweet potatoes!

First time, ordered breakfast for my family via Door Dash. Scrapple and eggs sandwiches!! Home fries!! Hot cakes!!! Chicken and waffles!! Everything was awesome! I have never had such fluffy hot cakes!! They must have been an inch thick!! Will definitely have to do dinner!! Thank you!!

My first and only time to an African American restaurant. Helpful people. Couldn't pay with my card. They directed me to an atm where I collected money and paid them later ????

Sunday morning breakfast are the best for me! Catfish, grits and eggs to top off a good morning and not expensive for their platters about $8 or so. I also love it when they have fresh baked sliced cake available, awesome!

I was in Wilmington on A Saturday evening and noted that it's awfully hard to find a place to eat at a reasonable price. Google led me to this wonderful gem. Evelyn's! I ordered meatloaf with greens and mac n cheese...also had to try mashed potatoes and cornbread. You know just to be sure. ???? Sooooo good! Ginormous helping of meatloaf with a great texture and onions hidden inside. The greens were flavorful, not overcooked and not greasy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great. Real potatoes and the gravy had just the right amount of pepper. Fluffy yummy cornbread and pretty darn near perfect mac n cheese! I had my fill and still had leftovers for the next day. I WILL DEFINITELY go back!!
